a.
To verify the version of IAS_ORACLE_HOME
Source the Application environment file
Cd $IAS_ORACLE_HOME
Cd config
$grep Version ias.properties
[oracle@fserver config]$ grep Version ias.properties
Version=10.1.3.4.0
Version=10.1.3.4.0
TO Apply the middleware patch set 5
Download the patch 8626084 from metalink.
Using the document MOS: 454811.1
Pre-Installation steps
Download Patch 8920270
Take a Backup of the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 10.1.3
Oracle Home and Inventory
Apply OracleAS 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.0) Patch Set 5 (10.1.3.5.0)
- Set your environment
- Apply OracleAS 10.1.3.5 Patch Set
- Shut down any services started by OracleAS 10.1.3.5 Patch Set
- Run AutoConfig
- Log in to the application tier as the OS user who owns the application tier file system. Navigate to the $INST_TOP/ora/10.1.3 and source the env dile
- Ensure that the location of the <1013_oracle_home>/ant/bin directory is included in the PATH Environment variable.1013_oracle_home>
To
apply this patch, you must be running OPatch version 1.0.0.0.58 or higher. You
can check your opatch version with the command 'opatch version'. If you are not
running version 1.0.0.0.58 or higher, you can obtain the latest OPatch version
via Patch 6880880 >. Ensure that
you select version '10.1.0.0.0' from the 'Select a Release' drop-down when
downloading the patch.
As my opatch version is below
1.0.0.0.58, we need to apply the patch 6880880
After moving the Opatch to the
location
As a pre-requisite
· Unzip patch 8626084 (OracleAS 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Patch Set 5 (10.1.3.5.0))
into a temporary directory ().
· Unzip patch 8920270 (required patch for OracleAS 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Patch
Set 5 (10.1.3.5.0)) into an alternative temporary directory.
From
the patch 8920270 readme.txt,
Do this
You will have to modify the 10.1.3.5 Patchset home to
install this fix.
1) Make sure the 10.1.3.5 Patchset home is in a writable
location.
2) Backup
$PATCHSETHOME/Disk1/stage/Patches/oracle.as.j2ee.top/10.1.3.5.0/1/DataFiles/other.jar
to $PATCHSETHOME/Disk1/stage/Patches/oracle.as.j2ee.top/10.1.3.5.0/1/DataFiles/other.jar.pre8920270
3) Copy the other.jar provided in this patch to the location
$PATCHSETHOME/Disk1/stage/Patches/oracle.as.j2ee.top/10.1.3.5.0/1/DataFiles/other.jar
4) Run the install of the 10.1.3.5 patchset.

Now run the Main patch 8626084/Disk1

Ensure that all
OC4J instances are up and running prior to applying this patch.
2) At this time, Oracle Application Tier will be shut down. There will be a brief pause in the installer when the application tier processes are stopped.
Click the 'OK' button to proceed with the installation.
